Company to launch series of Windows 8 products in 2012
11 June 2012, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, announced today it has become the first Chinese terminal manufacturer to receive Windows 8 Logo Certification.
In 2012, ZTE will partner with Microsoft to launch series of Window 8 products, including smart phones and tablets.
ZTE received the certification for its MF668A data card after passing the Microsoft Windows 8 WHCK test. This certification will accelerate the commercial launch process of ZTE Windows 8 series of products.
ZTE has a close partnership with Microsoft that began in 2011. The company is a priority strategic partner for Microsoft on Windows 8. ZTE unveiled its first Windows Phone, the ZTE Tania, at the PT/EXPO COMM China 2011 in Beijing and officially launched the phone in February.
